Hon Vong island

A small island off the coast, part of the scatter of rocky isles visited on Phú Quốc's boat and snorkelling trips. There's no big development here — the draw is clear water, coral and quiet, reached by wooden boat rather than road. It usually turns up as a stop on a snorkelling day rather than somewhere you visit alone. Conditions depend on the season and the sea, so it's best in the calm, dry months. Go through a boat tour, bring reef shoes and a dry bag, and treat it as part of a day on the water rather than a destination in itself.
