A century-old pagoda set on a forested hillside in the island's interior, and one of the older and more peaceful Buddhist sites here. A short climb through trees brings you to the main hall, with monkeys often about and quiet views back over the countryside. It's a working temple, so dress modestly and keep it low-key. There's little in the way of crowds or commerce, which is exactly why it's worth the short detour. Free to visit. Combine it with a nearby waterfall or the pepper farms, and go in the morning while it's cool.
